Rock for Equality on Sunday, April 11, 2010 in Los Angeles

Social Security inequality is the most under-recognized and harshest form of discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans.

All working Americans are required to pay into Social Security, but America's LGBT seniors are denied vital benefits afforded to others. In the past decade alone, America's same-sex couples have been unfairly deprived of more than $2 billion* in Social Security benefits.

What can you do?
Help us change the current unfair and unequal laws by joining Rock for Equality, a national initiative and event to demand equal Social Security benefits for America’s same-sex couples.
On Sunday, April 11, we will start with an opening rally in front of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center in Hollywood. Then we will take to the streets with a one-mile march down Hollywood Blvd. to a protest at the Social Security Administration Building on Vine St. Join us as we DEMAND equal benefits!

Visit RockForEquality.org for all the details and more Event Information.
